Meeting Room

Use of the meeting room is under the
general supervision of the Library Board of Directors and the direct supervision
of the Library Director.
The meeting room may be used by responsible community groups or
organizations devoted to educational, cultural, or civic activities of general
interest to the community. The room is available for non-commercial/non-profit
meetings. Library sponsored or related activities will have priority over other
requests. Juvenile and teenage groups may use the room only when responsible
adult supervision is provided.
Applications for use of the meeting room should be made at least
two (2) weeks in advance of the scheduled meeting.
GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS

The authorized representative is responsible for leaving the
room in order.

The authorized representative assumes all liability for damage
to or loss of library property incurred while on the premises.

The library is not responsible for injuries to participants
attending the meeting.

Smoking is prohibited.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Misuse of the facilities will mean permanent revocation of the
group's privileges in both the main library and the branch library.

A $25.00 bond may be required at the discretion of the Library
Board.

If the meeting extends beyond library hours, the authorized
representative is responsible for making sure that all the lights in the
meeting room and hallway are turned off and the outside doors are locked.
FEES
-
A fee of $5.00 will be charged for meetings held during
regular library hours.

A fee of $10.00 will be charged for meetings extending beyond
regular library hours.

A fee of $5.00 will be charged for the use of the kitchenette
facilities.

Fees must be paid when the application to rent the room is
submitted.

Fees may be waived at the discretion of the Library Board by
petitioning the Board at their regularly scheduled meeting.
CANCELLATIONS
If the scheduled meeting in cancelled for any reason by the
organization's authorized representative, a refund will be given. If the library
cancels the meeting, the organization's representative will receive a refund or
be able to reschedule the meeting when the room is available.
These rules may be changed at
any time by action of the Library Board.
